Dr. Hofmann was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in 1991. His fascination with psychology and the ability to “read” people began in childhood. During his Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (M.A., University of Wuppertal), his professional interests increasingly focused on “dark topics” such as Psychopathy and white-collar crime.
He completed police training programs in Criminal Investigative Analysis and Intelligence Analysis in the United States and was certified as a “Crime and Intelligence Analyst” by the California Department of Justice. As a Crime Analyst, he analyzes hackers directly within the darknet and supports corporations and authorities in effectively defending against cyber threats. In 2026, he completed his doctoral degree in Psychology at the Faculty of Science of the University of Tübingen with a dissertation on the Dark Triad traits (Psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and Narcissism) among hackers, graduated with a grade of 1.0 (magna cum laude).
Dr. Hofmann is interdisciplinary qualified and primarily interested in the intersection of Psychology, Crime, and Technology. He continuously expands his expertise through advanced professional training, including qualification as a Security Awareness Coordinator (TÜV).
